Hakan Fidan outlines how the Makkah pact could be activated
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said assistance under the Makkah pact would depend on a member's request and could range from intelligence, logistics and ammunition to military units at a more advanced stage. He also outlined plans for a strategic political-military committee, a permanent secretariat, joint exercises, interoperability, intelligence sharing and defence-industry cooperation.
